En el a\u00f1o 2010 recibe el premio Ariel a mejor cortometraje. Curs\u00f3 estudios de maestr\u00eda en Columbia University (en la ciudad de Nueva York, E.U.A.) \u2013 en donde se especializ\u00f3 en direcci\u00f3n y guionismo. Para realizar dicha maestr\u00eda recibi\u00f3 el apoyo de la prestigiosa beca FULBRIGHT. Su pel\u00edcula documental \u201cUna frontera, todas las fronteras\u201d se estren\u00f3 en el renombrado IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam), en la secci\u00f3n oficial de competencia, en el a\u00f1o 2010. En el 2013 su primer largometraje de ficci\u00f3n, \u201cLa vida despu\u00e9s\u201d, se estren\u00f3 en la 70 edici\u00f3n del Festival de Cine de Venecia (La Biennale Di Venezia) en secci\u00f3n oficial de competencia. La pel\u00edcula particip\u00f3 en m\u00e1s de cuarenta festivales de cine y ha recibido diversos premios. Fue becario de J\u00f3venes Creadores, del FONCA. seleccionados deber\u00e1n comprometerse a tomar el taller completo ya que una inasistencia injustificada ser\u00e1 motivo de suspensi\u00f3n y no podr\u00e1 ingresar a talleres o diplomados
